About This Scheme

A flagship Uttar Pradesh MSME campaign that promotes youth entrepreneurship through subsidy-backed bank finance, mentoring and market linkage support for educated youth starting new enterprises.

The Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign is an entrepreneurship promotion initiative of the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of Uttar Pradesh that aims to make educated youth job providers instead of job seekers. It converges the major state MSME incentives such as margin money subsidy, capital interest subsidy and technology upgradation support into a single outreach campaign delivered through the Nivesh Mitra single-window portal. Under the campaign eligible youth receive subsidy-backed bank finance, orientation about self-employment opportunities, mentoring and handholding support for setting up manufacturing, service, trading and food processing units. Financial assistance is disbursed directly into the beneficiary bank account after verification of the unit by the District Industrial Centre. The campaign also links entrepreneurs with MUDRA and priority-sector bank credit, ODOP cluster support, trade fair participation and e-commerce marketplaces for sustainable business growth.

Benefits

Margin money subsidy and capital interest subsidy on bank loans for new units, access to subsidised priority-sector credit, one-to-one mentoring and handholding, market linkage through ODOP stores, trade fairs and e-commerce platforms, and convergence with MYSY, ODOP and MUDRA benefits for eligible youth entrepreneurs.

Eligibility

Educated youth of Uttar Pradesh aged 18 to 40 years who intend to set up a new micro or small enterprise. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh, at least 8th pass (ITI, diploma or graduate preferred), and the unit must be new with no previous subsidy availed under a similar state scheme.
