About This Scheme

Provides capital subsidy, interest subsidy and other incentives for establishing agro-based and food processing industries in Uttar Pradesh to reduce farm waste and boost rural employment.

The Uttar Pradesh Agro-Based Industries Scheme encourages the establishment of agro-based and food processing industries in the state so that agricultural produce is processed near the farm gate, wastage is reduced and rural employment is generated. The scheme offers a capital subsidy on eligible plant and machinery, interest subsidy on term loans, reimbursement of stamp duty and electricity duty, and support for common infrastructure such as cold storage, grading, sorting, packaging and warehousing facilities. Priority sectors include fruit and vegetable processing, milk and dairy products, grain milling, oilseeds, sugar and allied industries, spices, pickles, pulses, fisheries and poultry processing, and other value addition activities linked with the ODOP and One District One Food Value Chain initiatives. Both new units and expansion of existing units are eligible, with higher assistance for units in rural and less developed districts and for units promoted by women and SC/ST entrepreneurs. Applications are accepted online through the Nivesh Mitra single-window portal.
