About This Scheme

Mukhyamantri Chhatravritti Yojana provides scholarships and fee reimbursement to meritorious students of Uttar Pradesh from economically weaker sections.

Mukhyamantri Chhatravritti Yojana is a scholarship scheme of the Government of Uttar Pradesh implemented by the Education Department. It supports meritorious students belonging to general, SC, ST, OBC, minority and economically weaker sections by reimbursing tuition and examination fees and providing a maintenance stipend for school, undergraduate, post-graduate and professional courses in recognised institutions. The scholarship amount is credited directly to the bank account of the student through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and the scheme aims to improve enrolment, retention and completion of education among students of the state. The scheme is popularly known as 'मुख्यमंत्री छात्रवृत्ति योजना'.

Benefits

Reimbursement of tuition and examination fees, maintenance stipend for students, support for books and study material, and direct benefit transfer to the bank account of the student.

Eligibility

Students domiciled in Uttar Pradesh who have secured at least the prescribed percentage of marks in the last qualifying examination and whose annual family income is within the notified income limit of the scheme.

Who Can Apply

School, college, university and professional students studying in recognised institutions of Uttar Pradesh belonging to general, SC, ST, OBC, minority and economically weaker sections.

Who Cannot Apply

Students availing any other state or central scholarship for the same purpose, service holders, children of high income families and students who have not cleared the qualifying examination.

Application Process

1. Apply online on the official Uttar Pradesh education or scholarship portal before the notified last date. 2. Register with Aadhaar and fill in the personal, academic and bank account details. 3. Upload self-attested copies of Aadhaar Card, previous year marksheet, Income Certificate, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Admission Receipt, Bank Passbook and Passport Photo. 4. The institution and the district education officer verify the application. 5. On approval the scholarship or fee reimbursement is credited directly to the bank account of the student through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
