About This Scheme

Reducing malnutrition, stunting, and under-nutrition in children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.

POSHAN Abhiyaan aims to reduce malnutrition, stunting, under-nutrition, and anemia among children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers through synergy of various nutrition-related schemes.

Benefits

Improved nutritional outcomes, reduced stunting, reduced under-nutrition, reduced anemia, reduced low birth weight. ICT-based real-time monitoring.

Eligibility

Children (0-6 years), pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls.

Who Can Apply

Beneficiaries identified through Anganwadi Centres and ASHA workers.

Who Cannot Apply

Persons already availing benefits from ICDS and other nutrition schemes (benefits are converged).
