About This Scheme

Manipur Disability Pension Scheme provides a monthly pension of ₹500 per month to persons with disabilities aged 18 years and above in Manipur having 40 per cent or more disability.

Manipur Disability Pension Scheme is a welfare scheme of the Manipur Government implemented by the Social Welfare Department to support persons with disabilities. Beneficiaries certified with 40 per cent or more disability receive ₹500 per month per month directly into their bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The pension helps in meeting the cost of assistive devices, medication, therapy and daily living expenses and converges with the Assistance to Persons with Disabilities component of the National Social Assistance Programme.

Eligibility

Persons with disability of 40 per cent or more as certified by a Government hospital or District Medical Board, aged 18 years and above (up to 79 years), resident of Manipur, with family income within the prescribed limit. A valid UDID or Disability Certificate is mandatory.

Who Can Apply

Persons with 40 per cent or more disability holding a valid UDID or Disability Certificate and residing in Manipur.

Who Cannot Apply

Persons with less than 40 per cent disability, those already drawing any other government pension, and applicants with family income above the prescribed limit.

Application Process

1. Obtain the application form from the nearest Social Welfare Office, District Disability Rehabilitation Centre or Common Service Centre (CSC). 2. Fill the form and attach self-attested copies of Aadhaar Card, Income Certificate, Age Proof, Bank Passbook, Passport Photo and the UDID or Disability Certificate. 3. Submit the application at the concerned office or upload it on the state social welfare portal. 4. The Field/Block Verifier verifies the disability certificate, income and residence of the applicant. 5. On approval the pension of ₹500 per month is credited monthly to the beneficiary's bank account through DBT.
