About This Scheme

Andaman and Nicobar Islands Housing for All Scheme is the flagship housing scheme of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Government providing pucca houses to eligible EWS and LIG families.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands Housing for All Scheme is a state housing welfare scheme of the Government of Andaman and Nicobar Islands implemented by the Housing Department through urban local bodies, panchayats and state housing boards. Eligible families receive financial assistance for construction of an all-weather pucca house or an allotment of a subsidised housing plot or flat. The scheme is implemented in convergence with Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and other state welfare programmes and provides beneficiaries with basic amenities such as drinking water, sanitation and electricity.

Eligibility

EWS and LIG families of Andaman and Nicobar Islands with annual family income within the notified limit who do not own a pucca house anywhere in India and who satisfy the domicile, land and residential norms of the scheme.

Who Can Apply

Landless and homeless families, urban poor, slum dwellers, widows, senior citizens, persons with disabilities and other eligible EWS and LIG households residing in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Who Cannot Apply

Persons owning a pucca house anywhere in India, income tax payees, government employees and families who have already availed benefit under any central or state housing scheme.

Application Process

1. Check eligibility and apply online on the official Andaman and Nicobar Islands housing portal or obtain the application form from the nearest Urban Local Body, Gram Panchayat or Common Service Centre (CSC). 2. Fill the form and attach self-attested copies of Aadhaar Card, Income Certificate, Ration Card, Residence Proof, Bank Passbook and Passport Photo along with the self-declaration of non-ownership of a pucca house. 3. Submit the application online or at the concerned ULB, Panchayat or CSC before the notified last date. 4. The implementing agency verifies income, residence and non-ownership of a house through field survey and geo-tagging. 5. On approval the beneficiary is selected for financial assistance or allotment of a subsidised house or plot and the assistance is credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
