About This Scheme

Aarogyasri - Andhra Pradesh Health Insurance Scheme offers a cashless health insurance cover of ₹5,00,000 per family per year to eligible families of Andhra Pradesh for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation.

Aarogyasri - Andhra Pradesh Health Insurance Scheme is the state health assurance scheme of the Andhra Pradesh Government implemented by the Health and Family Welfare Department. It provides cashless and paperless secondary and tertiary healthcare to eligible families up to a cover of ₹5,00,000 per family per year. Beneficiaries can avail treatment at empanelled government and private hospitals across the state without paying for the treatment. Pre-existing diseases are covered from day one and the scheme includes pre-hospitalisation, day care, ICU and post-hospitalisation expenses. The scheme is implemented in convergence with Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana wherever applicable.

Eligibility

Families identified in the state SECC or BPL database, low-income households, unorganised workers and other categories as notified by the Andhra Pradesh Government. The family must be Aadhaar seeded and should not be an income tax payer.

Who Can Apply

Eligible families of Andhra Pradesh covered under the state health assurance database, including BPL households, low-income families and unorganised sector workers.

Who Cannot Apply

Income tax paying families, government employees already covered under a separate government health scheme, and families with annual income above the notified limit.

Application Process

1. Check eligibility on the official portal or at the District Health Office and empanelled hospital. 2. Complete Aadhaar eKYC and family seeding with the ration card or family identification document. 3. Generate the health card or ABHA ID for each family member. 4. For treatment, visit an empanelled hospital and present the health card and Aadhaar for pre-authorisation. 5. Avail cashless treatment up to the prescribed limit. For grievances, contact the district health authority or the state health helpline.
